“Attention is key” to awareness, which must be present in some form if change is to be experienced in a way that leads to a desired difference. Without attention to self, setting, or situation there would be no awareness of difference nor basis for accepting it. Perhaps, the condition most responsible for humankind’s failure to recognize and achieve a higher quality of its life-giving potential is individuals’ lack of understanding and practice of innate attention. The effort needed to intentionally use attention to receive direction in the difficulties of life is unknown to nearly all. However, any person, at any moment, can receive value by practicing attention and receiving awareness of the possibility of achieving a desired difference.
Practices related to attention and awareness involve self-remembering and self-observation, described throughout this category. Posts are intended to stimulate exploration of attention, as a basis for awareness and acceptance of “what is” and the difference that is possible.
